Dr. Shantha Jayakumar

Dr. Shantha Jayakumar has over 25 years of experience as an educator. She has postgraduate degree in English, Psychology, and Education, and a PhD in Sociology. Having taught in contexts ranging from primary school to the post graduate student level, she has a thorough understanding of the teacher’s role in education. Her educational philosophy has centered around three broad tenets – every child is unique and precious; schools must provide for the all-round development of children; and the child must remain at the centre of all educational activities. At Gedee Public School, she continues to create a positive learning environment and multiple learning experiences, for students to become confident and remain happy individuals who can excel in their chosen fields of endeavor.
